Miami Baptist Spectrum Urology Conference

About the meeting

What this meeting is.

Miami Baptist Spectrum Urology Conference is a two-day meeting in urologic oncology, men’s health and lower urinary tract surgery, held inside the SPECTRUM Conference. Saturday is shared with the parent programme. Sunday belongs to urology.

The programme

Two days, three sessions, five hands-on stations.

  2. Demonstrated at 9:20 AMIRE – NanoKnifeM. Manoharan, MD
  3. Demonstrated at 9:30 AMMedtronic – Implantable Tibial DevicesChristopher Gomez, MD
  4. Demonstrated at 9:40 AMVacuum Stone ClearanceCarlos Sanchez, MD

The workshops

The organiser’s planning document sets out 28 talks, panels and workshop demonstrations across two days, together with 5 hands-on stations that open as a single room on the Saturday morning. It is billed as Urologic Oncology, Men's Health and Reconstructive Urology — oncology of the bladder, kidney and prostate alongside sexual medicine, infertility, testosterone therapy, BPH, stone disease and reconstruction.

Everything published here comes from that document and from nowhere else. Where it is silent — accreditation, the credit count, the hotel terms, an address to write to — this site says so rather than filling the gap with a plausible answer.

Inside the SPECTRUM Conference

One joint day, and one that is urology’s own.

Saturday is a joint SPECTRUM / SPECTRUM Urology day. On Sunday the urology programme has SPECTRUM’s main room for the whole day, with the exhibitors alongside. Both days are at the JW Marriott Miami in Brickell.

That is the whole of what has been published about how the two meetings sit together. Registration for the urology weekend runs through its own link, set up by the organiser; the rates are on the registration page.

Who it is for

A room of urologists, and one afternoon in wider company.

The programme is written for practising urologists, and the register is the same across all three Sunday sessions — the men’s health talks are pitched exactly as the oncology talks are.

Saturday afternoon is the exception, and deliberately so: the joint session puts urologic oncology and interventional oncology in one room, so the audience that day is a mixed one by design.
